Another year, another Christmas. It’s time to pull out the tree from the attic, dust off the baubles, dig out the the tinsel and check to see what old movies will be on telly. Somehow it’s all a bit tired and boring, and as the kids get older what you’d really like to do is get them off the screens and add some extra Christmas sparkle for the whole family.
A white Christmas adventure in the French Alps?
So what about going away? We’ve all heard the background argument ‘it’s a bit of a palava to up sticks and go away for Christmas’, but imagine the excited faces as you say “we’re off to a real winter Christmas wonderland”. Life is all about those special times, and we want to get the best from it, especially when it comes to our nearest and dearest. A holiday in the Alps really is the ultimate Christmas present for the whole family or group.
Time for magical Christmas memories
Make this Christmas the one for a blank white canvas where you can paint your own picture of excitement, snow and fun activities that include way more than just skiing. It’s time to wake up to stunning mountain views, crisp fresh air, beautiful snowflakes falling, forests of green and white, in a place that all the family can enjoy magic memories… Welcome to Sainte Foy!
A family & group friendly Sainte Foy at Christmas
Christmas is a time for sharing with friends and family and what better location than this jewel in the heart of the Tarentaise. With authentic village architecture and feel, family friendly Ste Foy comes with a huge heart. Also, with its own microclimate, north west facing aspect and snow cannons, this charming resort is confident of great snow throughout the season.
On Christmas day there’s tinsel & glitter, with vin chaud and mince pies in the centre of resort, Christmas carols ring out on the tannoy, and Santa arrives in one fashion or another (he has been known to abseil into the crowd and on another occasion, arrive on a donkey bearing bags of small sweets for the little ones!).
How big or small is your family this Christmas?
Whether you’re a family or group of 4 or 14+, the Première Neige portfolio of apartments & chalets offers plenty to choose from and remember, our self-catered properties are meticulously selected to include well equipped kitchens (amongst other things); just what’s required when it comes to the all important Christmas day preparations.
What about the Christmas tree and turkey we hear you say. At Première Neige we understand that travelling with those items is not realistically viable, so we offer a pre-ordering option through our concierge service. Isn’t it good to know that’s a couple more items ticked off the list.
Your Christmas day, your way
Of course the festive day needs special consideration, you like to do it your way, so what better choice than a self catered Christmas holiday. The turkey can be stuffed with all the trimmings as only Mum knows how, the gravy can be Gran’s special, and of course Dad can be in charge of the flaming Christmas pud.
Take away presents from heaven
Or maybe you just don’t want to deal with the hassle of Christmas day menus at all – after all it’s everyone’s holiday. How about ordering the whole Christmas meal with our partners Hu.ski. They have fabulous choices around the festive period – even including a vegetarian Christmas option!
Don’t forget, take-aways are not exclusively for Christmas day. Maybe you’ve decided that everyone should have a few nights off during your stay in the mountains, or you’re simply keen on the idea of avoiding the kitchen. Isn’t it good to know a quick and easy online order from a wide and varied choice of delicious menus and Hu.ski will deliver to your door .
Exclusive Partner discounts
Not only that, but Hu.ski are one of the carefully selected valued partners of Premiere Neige (we know the quality and service is of an excellent standard). Accordingly our clients enjoy plenty of discounts and offers throughout the season. Think of it as extra Christmas presents! Christmas for children to remember forever
If you have little ones, what better enchantment than the white winter magical land that Santa lives in – they might even see the big red man on the slopes, or certainly have fun trying. There’s snowmen to be built, sledging to be mastered and maybe even trying out skis on the nursery slopes. Grandma and Grandpa can be in charge of capturing the fun on camera, creating treasure chests of digital memories to take home.
Energetic festive fun for the teenagers
Christmas in the mountains means the older kids won’t want to sit in front of a screen passing the hours (even if the gift was a new tablet); you can be confident the lure of the slopes and adventures carving their own lines all over the mountain will win the day. Not only that, but it’s easy in Sainte Foy to let them loose in the village to do their own thing. All the bars and restaurants and lifts are easy to map out and it’s difficult to get lost, both on and off the mountain.
Self catered Flexibility
Isn’t it good to know that you can plan your meals at times to suit your family or group throughout the festive period. Perhaps a last minute spontaneous meal out is the order of the day after an energetic day on the mountain. Or maybe an early supper before watching a family movie on Satellite TV in front of a log fire with some home made popcorn, or simply a soak in the hot-tub.
There’s no doubt that with a self-catered Christmas ski holiday, you have choices and plenty of them. There’s a huge amount of flexibility, and with families and groups that can be a blessing.
As the end of the summer holidays loom, wouldn’t it be nice to know there’s the biggest Christmas present of all waiting in the wings…. it’s time to get that winter holiday booked!
