You’ve chosen your Premiere Neige chalet or apartment and paid the deposit, but what else do you need to organise and think of before traveling with us? There’s a couple of things that can be good to think of, and if you are booking during school holidays or particularly during peak weeks then we would highly recommend sorting as much as you can out in good time, so you don’t miss out on things like ski school slots or transfers.

We’ve put together a handy guide for you and listed the things that we can assist with to make your holiday as enjoyable and stress-free as possible!

Guest & Travel details

One of the first things to do, that is very helpful for us in assisting with any extras you might want to add, is to add your guest details – names and DOB + dietary requirements if you’ve booked a catered chalet – and travel details such as how you are traveling to resort and your arrival and departure times. These details can be added through your guest portal, or by getting in touch with our team.

Transfers & Travel to Sainte Foy

A good place to start is to sort out your travel details. Be it flights, train or car, we would definitely recommend booking as early as possible. We would be more than happy to assist with booking private transfers from either of the four airports near Sainte Foy: Geneva, Lyon, Chambery or Grenoble, or taxis from our local train station down the road in Bourg St Maurice.

To assist with transfers or taxis we need your flight or train numbers, timings and details about guests, any child or booster seats needed as well as if you are bringing any skis or oversized luggage. You can read more about travelling to Sainte Foy here.

We can also assist with sorting out transfers to the other ski resorts in the area (ski safari), so don’t hesitate to get in touch if you need assistance.

Lift passes

The easiest way to sort out your lift passes is to pre-book them with us. That way we will collect the passes for you, and they will be waiting in your chalet or apartment once you arrive – so that you can just head out on to the slopes to ski. We need to know everyone’s names and DOB – so make sure you add these to your guest portal or send them by email and we can add the best and most affordable passes for you.

Sainte Foy Ski Set shop

Ski Hire

Premiere Neige guests get a 20% discount on equipment hire with our trusted partners SkiSet. The easiest way to book is to go online with Skiset where you enter your dates, duration and personal details. When you arrive in resort you simply go to the Skiset shop (there’s two) that’s closest to your accommodation and they will help you with the fitting so that you get the equipment that suits you.

Ski School Sainte Foy

Ski school & private lessons

No matter if it is ski school for the children, a refresher ski lesson or a lesson to improve your technique – there’s plenty of options in Sainte Foy. Contact our team and let us know what lessons you would be looking for and we would be more than happy to enquire with our local ski guide and ski lesson partners on your behalf. Did you know?… that for children 3+ there’s also the option of doing ski lessons followed by lunch and kids club so that they’re entertained all day.

Some of the most commonly booked lessons are group lessons for children which run either Sun-Fri for 6 lessons or Mon-Fri for 5 lessons. These group lessons take place either in the morning or in the afternoon. During peak weeks most of the ski schools only offer private lessons in the afternoon as the mornings are usually reserved for children’s group lessons.

If you’re a snowboarder or just fancy trying out snowboarding, then there’s of course private instructors and children’s group lessons for this as well.

Childcare

Traveling with the whole family can be such a fun time, but we totally understand that the adults might want to ski alone for a little bit or head out for a restaurant dinner without the little ones on some evenings. In Sainte Foy we have a kids club called Les p’tits Trappeurs which welcome children aged 3-11 years old. They arrange a variety of activities Sundays to Fridays 08.45 – 16.45 and you can choose different options such as half days or full days, including or excluding lunch.

There’s also the option of hiring a nanny which is perfect if you have children that are younger than 3 or if you just need someone to babysit in the evenings. Contact our team and we can send you all the details you need.

Holiday balance due 9 weeks prior to arrival

Another thing to keep an eye on is that the remainder of your holiday cost is due 9 weeks prior to arrival. But not to worry if you forget as we will always send out a reminder closer to this date.

Restaurant bookings in Sainte Foy

There are some lovely restaurants in Sainte Foy – and each person in our team have their own favourites – so do feel free to get in touch if you need a restaurant dinner booking, or just a recommendation, and we can contact the restaurants on your behalf to try and book you a table. We are also happy to recommend lunch restaurants of course, however these usually do not take bookings during the day.

Premiere Neige Chef

Useful to know for catered ski holiday bookings

For our catered holidays there’s a couple of things that are useful for us to know before your arrival so our chefs can prepare the best menu possible. Dietary requirements are of course very important, and these can be added to your guest information in our guest portal, or by getting in touch with our team and we can assist.

If there are children in your group then we also offer the option of having an earlier children’s dinner, about an hour before the adults, so do let us know if you would prefer this.

Savoie cheese fondue

Useful to know for self-catered ski holiday bookings

For our self-catered holidays the main question we get is where you can shop for food. There are two smaller food shops and bakeries in Sainte Foy, with the nearest large supermarket situated in Bourg St Maurice. If you are driving to resort then it is easy enough to stop on the way to pick up your groceries. Alternatively you can drive down the valley throughout the week. If you don’t have access to a car, or if you do not fancy the drive down the mountain, then you can place an online order with Super U and we can assist with arranging delivery for an additional fee. Our team has also put together a guide to some traditional Savoie recipes in case you are looking for some tasty inspiration!
