Why ski in January?

The festive period is over, it’s time to return to work and everything goes back to normal.  There’s nothing to look forward to or get excited about, right? Wrong!

Nothing helps blow away excesses of festive celebrations like a week away in the mountains. January is the perfect time to get rid of the post-holiday blues. Here are a few reasons why you should join us in Sainte Foy

1. Quiet slopes

Nestled between the busy festive season and the February school holidays, January is the perfect time to find empty pistes. For those that don’t like queuing for lifts, dodging snaking ski schools and busy restaurants, January is the month for you. Although, Sainte Foy is a true hidden gem with quite slopes even in peak weeks!

Quiet easy green/blue runs are a great confidence boost for beginners. You don’t have to worry about bumping into people whilst you’re learning to ski or snowboard. Advanced skiers on the other hand will love the top to bottom red runs to get the legs burning, whilst experts can challenge themselves on black runs with ungroomed areas and moguls. Find out more information about the skiing and boarding in Sainte Foy.  The best part of quiet slopes is you can do them over and over again!

2. No lift queues

Have you ever met anyone who likes to queue for the ski lift? We definitely haven’t! January is the perfect month to get better value for money from your discounted lift pass, as there’ll be little or no queuing at all. It is the best time of the year to maximise your time skiing or snowboarding on the Sainte Foy slopes.

3. Powder for days and days

The feeling of being the first person making your tracks on fresh snow is a thrill we all hope for on a ski trip. The chances of being that lucky person are much higher when visiting in January. Guaranteed cold weather often with crisp blue skies means great skiing conditions and a real sense of winter in the resort. The pistes are in their prime because of the quality of snow and less people churning them up. Don’t worry about being cold either, you can always jump in the hot-tub or sauna at the end of the day! View our slope-side chalets with hot-tubs.

4. Cheap flights

During low season weeks, including January, airports are less busy and airlines tend to offer more reasonable pricing to go to your favourite resort, Sainte Foy. Once you are at the other side, the roads also tend to be quieter which means quicker transfer times to your ski chalet or apartment. All guests must source flights independently however our experienced team can certainly assist with recommendations. Easyjet flights from the UK start from just £40pp return. Quick, act fast!

5. Great Chalet & Apartment Availability & Pricing
